What I am currently reading
I have a list of books I've read or currently reading on the right of my blog. The book I am reading now is How Starbucks saved my life which is the account by Michael Gates Gill of how he lost his high-powered advertising job in New York and begins working at a Starbucks. Overall, I like it, though he does seem to name-drop a lot but hey, if I had met Hemingway, I would do the same! Someone asked me how I liked the book Water for elephants. I'd have to say it was one of the best books I've read lately. I loved reading about the circus and the people in it. Parts of the book will make you laugh out loud (at least I did!). But other parts will make you dread what is coming next. Thoroughly worthwhile read. Which brings me to our current assignment to invite comments-- have you read a good book lately or do you have any questions regarding my list of books?

I seem to have so little time to read anymore, but right now I'm trying out "A Thousand Splendid Suns" by Khaled Housseini (sp?) and it's fabulous. I'm also enjoying a new magazine called "Body + Soul" which is easier to get at because I can pick it up and set it down more easily when Joey interrupts my reading session. :)
I just finished the Starbucks book, actually found the stories of his past life more interesting than all of the Starbucks details. And the guy could at least have one negative thing to dish about Starbucks, no concerns from him about big coffee chains taking over the world and I am sorry no place can be that wonderful to work at 24/7. I did enjoy reading it though, more than I thought I would actually, just picked it up because of the publcity.
